StampTV Challenges!

I'm excited to share a few projects I made for some current challenges at StampTV with you!

The first is for the Friday potluck challenge, hosted by one of our CenterStage spotlight designer team members, Deb Felts. I used Special Delivery postage with Asela's Flowers for Daisy. The base cardstock layer is Fresh Asparagus, and main panel is pure luxury ivory, sponged with ranger antique linen, the mat layer is Vibrant Violet.  Many of you may have heard of the tragic kidnapping and murder of a young girl in Jacksonville, FL last week - well Deb's challenge is to make a feminine and soft with purple and if you'd like to mail your card to Somer's mom, Debbie shared the address to send your card to.  I cannot begin to comprehend what her and her family are going through - the least I can do is say a prayer for them and let her know I'm thinking of her so my card will be mailed this week.  If you'd like to participate, here is the address:

My 2nd project is for my monthly 3D challenge -it is to make a gable box from a template that Nina generously is sharing. For a bonus entry, you can make a gift ornament to go inside like I did here.  I made it out of a chipboard coaster and cut down the size to fit (2 3/4" x 4").  I wanted to make an ornament to but my nephew Joey's picture in from last year, since it was his first Christmas, and aptly used First Christmas set illustrated by Asela.  I cuttlebugged some Good as Gold cardstock and adhered it to the picture with foam tape after I cut out the oval for his picture.  I'm so glad Gina K. came out with the cranberry tart cardstock and coordinating holiday ribbon because it matched his little vest perfectly! I used Nina's Vintage Borders set to decorate the box, along with a neutral button and gold lined ivory ribbon.  I rubbed metallic rubon paste (gold) on both for a more distressed look.  I'm sure my sister is going to LOVE this ornament. I'll send this to you so you can put this on your tree this year, Val (she reads my blog *wink*)

Hope you have a great week!  I will be back tomorrow with some TE sneak peeks! Pin It

What an adorable little nephew you have, Donna! Your sister will love having this keepsake, you did a beautiful job on it. I have only done the 3-D challenge once, but I will be doing this one for sure, thanks.

Your first creation is just lovely Donna! Very pretty colors and images and I love that corner button!

And what a neat ornament and box! I usually decorate in golds/reds, and I need to try one of these...they both turned out fabulous!

Oh, and what a cutie he is : )
