Look at the cute 'Thank you' card I got from Charmaine at Oodabug Alley for sending her a congrats card recently. Isn't it great with the gold buckles on the witche's shoes?! Thanks, Charmaine...what gal doesn't like some happy (FUN) mail once in a while? What's so funny is that I actually ask DH every day in anticipation of something, did I get any fun mail? Well, when I did yesterday, he said 'no, I don't see any' well, he held out on me to surprise me because HOURS later he came into the bedroom when I was knee deep in coloring holiday party invitations & tossed this card to me. I WAS SO HAPPY!!!

Mini Manicure Tins

This little project (made for my sisters) was inspired by Nicole, The Stampin' Librarian = her Break in Case of Emergency kit. I found the mini manicure sets at the $1 Target Spot. Now that I see Nicole's post again, I think I will add a few more items! Thanks for the great idea, Nicole!Bookwormabella Bookmark
Update: Our friend Dan is doing better, the Dr's are ruling out a staph infection, seems like all the swelling & supposed infection was just caused by the blunt force trauma of the deer.
ETA: Beverly Gerard at Savor the Journey posted a great bookmark too (great minds think alike, huh?) but she did a much better job explaining how to make these check out hers here and I was trying to figure out how to add a ribbon (DH said leave it as is) and now I know! Thanks, Beverly!
Isn't it the cutest?

2007 Ornament
I found this unfinished frame ornament at Hobby Lobby (it was $.99 but 40% off) can't beat that! I am making an ornament for my sister every year of her daughter (and next year will be adding another one to the mix as she is pregnant again!) I covered it with Dashing Designer Paper using Mod Podge and tied the ribbon. I love the little silver bells on the bottom, they dangle. The part I wrote on will be turned to the back once a photo is placed in there.

Something just made me SMILE - it was a post on Monika's blog M.A.D. Stamper where she nominated me for the award. How sweet is that?? I know this award has gone around several blogs, but I am going to tag the following bloggers with this award! If you have already been tagged - no worries!Rose Ann

Kathy lives in the Bay Area where I grew up & I look forward to meeting her one day & she posts the most awesome Eye Candy every Tuesday! She sent me one of the first blogger RAK's I got!

Fall Pumpkin Delivery

Since I had leftovers from a shoebox swap, I decided to make a new card and love how this turned out! I love fall, I'm so glad it's actually feeling like it (well, in the mornings and night at least) in Central TX (it's still in the 70's during the day, nice) but it's kind of hard knowing how to dress. I tend to dress for the middle of the day, but bring a jacket for the morning.Think Pink Pencils

How cute are these mice? Only the stamped version...IMO, oh and Stuart Little. Anyway, House Mouse came out with clear (polyphotomer, the great ones)! How exciting! I never bought the wood mounted because of the prices, but I always wanted to, they are so cute! The set (a lot of images) was $19.99 (still too pricey for me) but a few weeks ago I had a 40% off coupon and I couldn't resist! The following week all the clear stamps were 50% off (bummer) oh well. I loved making a non-traditional colored Christmas card...what do you think? Oh, I used my prismas & gamsol to color. FUN!!!

TLC139 - Qbee's Peek-a-boo Boxes

I hardly ever do challenges on SCS...not sure why, I just don't. But seeing all the cutest boxes on blogs really enticed me! I had to try one and it was so easy & fun to do! This is the last little present to go in the Lean Cuisine lunch tote - check it out if you'd like to get one, $5 from the proceeds goes to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and $602,055 has been donated to date! Isn't that great? The tote is very roomie inside. I also bought me one so I can take my lunch to work in style (tired of using a plastic grocery bag). Look at the cute tag on the handle too! This is to give to my friend who is a Breast Cancer Survivor, I thought it would be perfect to put her little handmade goodies inside. You can create an Inspiration Stone here for a loved one - I just did 2 of them. I know 3 others who are survivors (wow, 5 people I care about/love who have been affected, that's way too many) and need to do some for them too. But the great news is that they are SURVIVORS!!

I need to get sign-ups soon because in 9 days I leave for CA to visit my sisters & niece and would like to git 'er done before I leave.
*ETA: this game is NOT limited to whether you are a Blogger, I don't want to exclude those who love to RAK (and can do so in a forum on SCS, so if you are a member & would like to play, let me know!! Thanks for signing up, Janet!!!

Think Pink with My Favorite Things!

If you peruse SCS, you will see they added forums for participating member companies. One is My Favorite Things which I love. They started a Celebrate MF Day that will be on the 20th of each month, highlighting the most recent reveals. This month, it's Think Pink (50% of the sale goes to the foundation) and How Sweet It is . Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I know several survivors, I wanted to get that set and make some special gifts with it. So here are my creations. I used My Mind's Eye Magnolia paper. This was fun! The upper project is a covered Orbit Gum pack, the one on the right is a Trident pack of gum inside closed with velcro and the left project is a pink post-it cover.
