My Favorite Guest Designer - WOO HOO!

I am so excited to tell you I was chosen to be one of My Favorite Things guest designers next month for their February release of MFT Presents line!  Which means I will get the stamps for free in addition to the privilege of posting sneak peeks on my blog alongside the very talented regular design team and do their famous Hop Around the Block (jumping from blog to blog to see all the sneaks-it's so fun!)   Here is the card I submitted for the challenge - to make a single layer card.  I used Isabelle Paper Dolls to make a serene beach scene!  I think I had vacation on my mind when doing it (we're thinking of booking a last minute trip to FL next weekend!) 

I started with stamping/masking Isabelle and using a torn piece of copy paper, I sponged creamy caramel ink for the sand and dotten a marker for texture.  Then, I masked the sand and using another piece of copy paper I hand drew waves and sponged with baja breeze/pacific point. Clouds were sponged with an SU! template and the sun was hand painted.  All watercoloring was done with Peerless watercolors & Niji Waterbrush. 

I topped the waves with Crystal stickles & her mermaid outfit with Copic atyou spica pens for extra sparkle!  Here is a close up.  

Congratulations are in order for Janna Hull who made a sweet multi-layered one layer card using Flopsey and will also be guest designer for MFT stamps! 

Check out the thread for all the Best in Show categories (this was a record-breaking hard decision for Kim & the DT to determine winners because of all the awesome creations made and I want to say congratulations to EVERYONE!  You really brought it!!
